Haven’t you noticed that Grandparents are always looking for ways to spoil their grandchildren. I don’t know what it is but it seems to be an epidemic. Grandparents have this attitude that they can spoil the grandchildren and then send them home for the parents to deal with. There are various reasons why grandparents spoil their grandchildren. You can probably think of many others, but the list obviously includes:

• It is feels good when I can make my grandchildren happy
• You want to find a way to connect with your grandchildren
• You fill young again when spending time with grandchildren
• You wish that you had spent more time with your own children
• It is payback time for all the grief your children gave you

There are all kinds of reasons why grandparents spoil their grandchildren. And I guess it is a good thing too since most parents are too busy earning a living and training and disciplining their children. Of course, good parents will also take time to play with their children. But it makes you wonder if Grandparents were made just for that purpose. 

Good times with Grandchildren

If your grandchildren live close by then you probably have many opportunities to enjoy being around them. There are church and school activities to attend and birthdays and graduations that come. However, when you have to travel any distance to see your grandchildren then it is more important to turn each opportunity into a good time that they will remember. Some of those times might include:

• Summer Vacations
• Family Reunions
• Visiting during a trip across the country
• Holidays including Christmas and Thanksgiving
