Joseph was interviewed by Matthew Payne at BYU in October of 2009 for a special article which appeared in the Winter 2010 edition of BYU Magazine.

A month later in November, BYU Magazine photographer Bradley Slade scheduled time and took pictures of Joseph and the new Circle Out card game at his home.

In January of 2010 the winter edition of BYU Magazine came off the press and was distributed to nearly 200,000 readers.

“For a lot of people, they’ll have a good idea and be passionate about it for a few weeks, but when it comes to doing the actual work or finding out that it’s not going to sell as easy as you thought, the passion wanes,” says Scoville. “Joseph hasn’t done that.
