It seems to happen all to often in our modern society.

The Way It Used To Be

There used to be a time when families spent more time together doing things such as:

• working on the farm or in the yard
• playing games together
• reading good books
• telling stories about the good old days
• or just sitting around talking with one another

However, modern life has changed much of what used to be. All too often we find ourselves spending to much time away from each other at work and school or engaged in television programs and computers games.

Problems In Families

Many believe that these changes have contributed to many of the modern day problems that exist today in families such as:

• disrespect for authority
• alcohol and substance abuse
• high school dropouts
• violent crime

and it isn’t just happening to our children, what about:

• infidelity between spouses
• increasing divorce rates

We can solve a lot of problems within our own families if we will just take the time to be with our spouses and children doing something fun together. It gives us a chance to talk to each other about what is happening in our lives and to laugh and have fun together.

Spending quality time with our familes

Your family is the most important part of your life. Isn’t it about time to make your family a priority. It might be the one thing that can help you avoid having to deal with the host of modern day problems that our children are faced with today.

Spending quality time together will make life more enjoyable and fulfilling for everyone. Once your children grow up and leave, you will be glad that you took the time while they were young to develop those relationships. Because when it comes right down to it, what is more important in this life?
